Will AI Replace Traditional Filmmaking? Sundar C Responds

Social media is making it difficult to identify what is real and fake. From movie posters to trailers and songs, everything looks so realistic that audiences often believe it.

Recent AI videos related to Mahesh Babu’s Ramayana show how easily technology can create movie-like visuals without actual shooting.

Director Sundar C recently shared his views on AI while promoting his upcoming devotional film Mahashakthi, starring Nayanthara.

He revealed that the film has over 3,000 CGI shots, but AI was used in only 15. Around 800 Tamil technicians worked for more than a year.

He also predicted that films could one day be made without shooting, using AI-generated scenes, actors’ faces and voices.
